Local SEO - Choosing the Right Category in Google’s Local Listings

local-ranking-factorsAccording to last year’s Local Search Ranking Factors survey, one of the most important things you can do with your Google local listing is choose the right category(ies).

This also happens to be one of the more difficult things related to setting up your Google local listing. Luck for us, Mike Blumenthal, has just released a cool new tool - a searchable database of categories in Google’s Local Business Center. Now when choosing the category for your business you can get your listing correct right from the start.

Here’s a brief tutorial on how to utilize this awesome tool!
