Info: Microsoft adCenter Quality Score Coming Soon

Straight from the MS Advertising blog, it looks like adCenter will soon have its own version of Quality Score in paid search for Bing/Yahoo.

adCenter Quality Score Feature Highlights

  • adCenter Quality Score will be on a 1-10 scale, and be calculated at the keyword level for each match-type being purchased
  • Scores are designed to represent how competitive your keyword is within the marketplace, with three sub-scores for keyword relevance, landing page relevance, and landing page user experience
  • Actionable guidance will be provided to optimize and improve your quality score
  • At launch, scores will be visible and exportable from the adCenter Web UI, and accessible through adCenter Reporting and Reporting APIs

Interesting to note are the sub-scores for keyword relevance, landing page relevance, and landing page UX. I don’t see if it says anything about showing the sub-scores though, so we’ll need to wait and see if they actually give visibility of those scores.

No definite launch date other than “this spring” but it’s something everyone should keep an eye out for. We’ll keep the blog updated with any updated news as well.

What are your thoughts on the impending roll-out of adCenter’s quality score algorithm?
