Tip: Google Adwords Headline Display URL Capitlization

As most of you know, back in January, Google updated their display URL policy to display all URLs in lower case – and it was assumed they would display in lower-case regardless of whether the URLs were entered with capitalization or not.

Then, starting in May, Google began pulling the display URL into the headline and until a few days ago I was only seeing lower-case URLs in the extended ad titles.  I stumbled across the screenshot below showing both Macys as well as Lacoste with capitalized URLs displaying in the ad title.


After reaching out to our Google rep, it turns out that if you keep your display URLs capitalized as you wish, it WILL appear that way when it “graduates” to the headline.
